Wedding – Love & Archer

At St. Helen’s Church, Thurnscoe, on Thursday, December 24th, Miss Nancy Love, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Love, School Street, Thurnscoe, was married to Mr. Ernest Archer, second son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Archer of Britton Street, Thurnscoe, the rector of Thurnscoe officiating. The bride was daintily attired in white satin with silver buckle and veil and wreath of orange blossom. She had silver brocade shoes to match and carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums. The bride was given away by her father.

Mr. Sydney Archer acted as best man, and Mr. Samuel Love as groomsman. The bridesmaids Miss Emma Lloyd (Great Houghton) and Miss Jennie Burgess (Thurnscoe), wore pink and blue floral georgette with pale blue crinolines, and carried bronze chrysanthemums. The two small bridesmaids, Miss Gwennie Frankland and Miss Luna Vasey, were very prettily attired in white silk dresses trimmed with pink rosettes and wore wreaths of pink roses and carried bronze chrysanthemums.

The reception was held at the home of the bride.
