Mr. M. Little (Wath) and Miss S. Parker (Thurnscoe).
The marriage took place at St. Helen’s Church, Thurnscoe, of Miss Sarah Parker, daughter of Mr. J. Parker, and the late Mr. J. Parker, of Thornley Crescent Thurnscoe, and Mr. Matthew Little, only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Little, of 6, Sandymount, Wath – on – Dearne.
Given away by a friend of the family, Mr. G. H. Hilton, the bride wore a gown of ivory satin beaute cut on classical lines, and a long veil surmounted by a coronet, and carried crimson carnations.
Her bridesmaids were Miss Connie Moorehouse and Miss Joan Taylor, wearing apple green silk dresses and green haloes with net shoulder veils attached. They carried pink carnations and wore gold signet rings, gifts of the bridegroom.
Marie Noble in a white satin dress, and John Parker in a white satin suit, were attendants. The girl carried a posy of sweet peas and both wore silver identity discs, the gifts of the bridegroom.
Mr. Jack Mallen was best man, and Mr. John Parker groomsman.
Among the gifts was cutlery from the manager and staff of Brough’s, Thurnscoe, where the bride is employed.
