Wedding – Saxton & Saunders
The marriage took place at St. Helen’s Church, Thurnscoe, of Mr. A. H. Saunders, of Goldthorpe, and Miss M. S. Saxton, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Saxton, Low Grange Road, Thurnscoe.
The choir of St. Helen’s, of which the bride’s father is a member, attended. The bride was attired in a picturesque gown of white satin beaute with veil heavily embroidered and surmounted with a coronet of orange blossom. She carried red carnations, and was given away by her father.
Bridesmaids were Miss M. Saxton and Miss A. Bennison In dresses of ice-blue with headdresses and shoulder veils to match and carrying sweet peas, and three smaller attendants In ankle-length dresses of pink with head-dresses to match and carrying posies of sweet peas.
Mr. W. Saxton was best man, and Mr. J. Saunders groomsman.
