Wedding: Walker & Winfrey
The wedding took place at St Helen’s Church, Thurnscoe on Saturday of Miss. A. Walker, eldest daughter of Mr. and the late Mrs. F. Walker of Huddersfield and Mr. W. Winfrey, youngest son of Mrs and the late Mr. Winfrey, 17 Butcher Street, Thurnscoe, the Rev. G. H. Wheeler officiating.
The bride was given away by her father and wore white crepe satin, and carried pink and red tulips, narcissi and fern. She was attended by Miss L. Walker (Huddersfield), in green celanese and carrying pink and white tulips; and Misses Winifred and Kathleen Winfrey in pale green crepe, carrying baskets of red, yellow and pink tulips.
The best man was Mr. W. Winfrey and the groomsman Mr. A. Walker. A reception was held in St. Helen’s school.
