Raymond Hill, the former Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper made his first appearance.

The Worksop goal was subject to heavy pressure in the opening stages. Hill making several daring saves, but he was beaten when failing to gather the ball from a shot by Jenkinson.

Chapman equalised a few minutes later with a good shot from Hawcroft’s pass, and a penalty to Worksop for foul on Burton was converted by Shepherd.
