News At Last

After many months of anxious waiting during which she never gave up hope, Mrs. E. Marsden of 31, Deightonby Street, Thurnscoe East, has received word that her son, Gunner Leslie Marsden, is a prisoner of war in Japanese hands.

He was reported missing on February 15th 1941.

His father, the late Mr. Frank Marsden served in the last war.  He was a Sergt. Major.

Gunner Marsden was employed at Hickleton Main Colliery before removing to Nottingham where his wife still resides.
