Impaled by Hand on 5 Feet High Railings

Six year old Arthur Peter Hasman, of High Street, Thurnscoe, who, was impaled by his hand on 5 feet high railings, and of whom a police official said,

“Although he was impaled for 15 minutes, he never once whimpered nor cried. I have never seen such bravery – and I saw injured men during the war.”
