Promotion
Capt WG Tattersall, of the Thurnscoe St Helen’s Company Church Lads Brigade, has been promoted to the rank of major and O.C. battalion.
Major Tattersall joined the company in 1917 as a cadet. In 1928 he was made a second Lieutenant, in 1930 1st Lieutenant; Captain in 1931, and was also licensed as a lay reader in 1934.
Lt T Foster has been appointed adjutant to the Battalion.
The Thurnscoe company recently took part in a great C.L.B. rally at Sheffield and were inspected by Sir William Ellis.
The camp will be held this year at St Annes on Sea, from July 30 August 7
