In Merchant Navy

Jack Kitchener, who is in the Merchant Navy, was born at 48, Tudor Street, Thurnscoe, and attended the Hill School. He is 17, and has been going to sea for two years now.

Jack has made several voyages to Africa, and was in a big convoy that got through to Russia. Although they had a hard time it did not daunt Jack. He is now at sea again.
