Entertained In Cape-Town

Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Francis, of Beaumont, Walbert Avenue, Thurnscoe, have received a letter from the Cape Presbytery Women’s Association, who have entertained their son, Driver B. Francis, R.A.S.C., during his stay in Capetown.

They said that Dvr. Francis was well and happy and had talked to them of home, which made him wish for the war to end speedily with victory, so that he could return to his parents.

He said that the Capetown people were most wonderful to the Forces visitors.

The day after receiving this letter, Mr. and Mrs. Francis had an airgraph letter from their son, telling them that he had arrived safely in the Middle East and was at and well.

Driver Francis, who was formerly employed by Dearne Valley Colliery Co., joined the Army in 1939.
