Joined Up On Birthday

Jack Gibbs son of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Gibbs, late of 17, Chapel Lane, Thurnscoe and now residing in Coventry, joined the Forces on his 20th birthday and is now serving in Africa with the Royal Army Service Corps.

He started his career at a local garage and then went to work at Coventry where he was employed by Morris Motors, Ltd.

At the age of 22 he is now a Sergeant-Major. He looks forward to the “South Yorkshire Times” every week.
