Soldier – Lancaster, Jim – Former Ambulance Driver

Driver Jim Lancaster, of 44. Tudor Street, Thurnscoe, is in the R.A.S.C.

Before enlisting he was an ambulance driver attached to the Thurnscoe Baths A.R.P. Post.

He enlisted in November, 1939, and went to France and was evacuated from Dunkirk. He was later sent to Coventry where he had an accident.

He has two brothers, one in the East Yorkshire Regiment and the other in the Home Guard.
