Prisoner of War

Private Harry Moore (21), is a prisoner of war in Germany.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Moore, 14, Richmond Road, Thurnscoe, and volunteered in June, 1939 for the Welsh Guards.

He was home on leave just over twelve months ago. He took part in the fighting at Dunkirk where he was taken prisoner.

His father thought he would never be heard of again, but his mother never gave up hope. He was reported missing in June, and in November his first card home was received.

Several letters have been received since, and in all he writes cheerfully, and wishes to be remembered to all his friends. particularly his workmates at Houghton Main Colliery where he was employed before joining the Army.
