Driver C. Pendriss, R.A.S.C., joined up in June, 1939. His home address is 44, Brunswick Street, Thurnscoe, and he worked at Hickleton pit for six years.

He is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Pendriss, and a keen homing pigeon fancier.

He was wounded, but came through the Dunkirk episode all right.

He is fit again and has rejoined his unit.
