Looks Forward To “Times”

A Thurnscoe man, Mr. Alex Ratchus, of 59, Windsor Street, Thurnscoe East, , who in private life is a telephone engineer with the G.P.0., is now serving in ‘ France with the Royal Corps of Signals. Signalman Ratchus is a regular reader of the “South Yorkshire Times,” and his wife informs us:

“My husband gives me strict instructions never to forget his ‘Times’ and says it is the only thing which makes him feel nearer home.”

We hope Signalman Ratchus will receive a pleasant surprise to find his own portrait in our picture gallery of local men with the Forces when this Issue reaches him, and incidentally we wish him the best of luck and a safe and speedy return to Thurnscoe.
