Killed In Action
Gdsmn. Ernest Stonehouse (30) was killed with the C.M.F. on June 26th. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Stonehouse of 26, Hanover Street, Thurnscoe East, and leaves a widow and two young daughters, who reside at 6, Norman Street, Thurnscoe East.
Joining the Grenadier Guards nearly four years ago, he had been abroad over two years, having served in North Africa, Sicily and Italy.
