Wants His Darts
Two Thurnscoe men serving in France are Lance Bombardier H. (Paddy) Hinchcliffe, third son of Mr. G. Hinchcliffe and the late Mrs. S. E. Hinchcliffe, of 10, Grange View, Thurnscoe East, and Gunner B. Sales, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Sales, of 36, Queen Street, Thurnscoe East.
Both are married, the former having two children, and his pal one child. Both have been in France since the first week of the war.
Gunner Sales was a postman at Balby, and went from Halifax where his wife is living now. Both are regular readers of the “Times,” and Gunner Sales mentions that he has not seen their photos in the paper yet, so here they are. In a letter to his parents
Gunner Sales states that they are both well and cheerful, and asks for his darts to he sent on, as they have been presented with a board.
Gunner Sales in his letter also states that he is now a cook in the sergeants’ mess.
