Father and Son

Sydney Oxley (40), Lansdown Avenue, Thurnscoe, was serving with the Pioneer Corps before being discharged because of ill-health.

He joined the Forces last year. Mr. Oxley has a son serving in the Royal Engineers.

He is Sapper Sydney Oxley (junr.), who worked at Hickleton Main Colliery before joining the Army.
