His ” 21st ” In Iceland.

Sergt. N. H. Reynolds, attached to the A.A. of the West Yorkshire Regiment, is anti-gas instructor, and was educated at the Hill School, Thurnscoe.

He is 24 and is the elder son of Mrs. E., M. Reynolds, Stanley Cottage, Bingley, whose other son, Private George F. Reynolds, is at present serving in Iceland after being on active service in Norway.

He was at Mexborough Secondary School from 1931 to 1936, and obtained a post in the Treasurer’s Department at Bingley Town Hall in September, 1936, being the first of the militia men to leave that town.

After a gruelling six weeks in Norway and a short leave he was sent to Iceland, and will be spending his 21st birthday there. These boys are the grandsons of Mr. Henry Brooke, one of Thurnscoe’s oldest residents, and they will be pleased to hear from any of their pals of South Yorkshire care of their mother.
